We're delighted to be planning something new at Enchanted Moon Circles β a programme of relaxed, sociable Arts & Crafts evenings for adults in the Lower Earley area of Reading.
Our workshops will bring together creativity, friendship and the changing seasons, giving you the opportunity to try something new, learn a craft, make something beautiful and enjoy a few hours in good company.
Whether you're an experienced crafter or someone who simply fancies doing something creative, you'll be very welcome.
Life can be busy, and sometimes it's wonderful to simply slow down for a couple of hours and make something with your hands.
Our Arts & Crafts evenings are designed to be relaxed rather than formal. There are no grades, no pressure and no expectation that you need to be particularly "arty" or crafty!
We'll provide the materials, equipment and guidance you need for each activity, and you'll have plenty of time to experiment, chat and put your own creative stamp on your finished piece.
And, of course, there's always something rather lovely about taking something home that you made yourself.
The changing seasons will provide much of our inspiration.
Our programme will include crafts inspired by nature, folklore, seasonal traditions and the world around us, with activities changing throughout the year.
You might find yourself making:
π Autumn creations
Lanterns, botanical crafts, decorations, wreaths and nature-inspired projects.
βοΈ Winter crafts
Festive decorations, gifts and cosy seasonal makes.
π± Spring creations
Floral crafts, nature-inspired projects and colourful new-season creations.
βοΈ Summer crafts
Bright, botanical and outdoor-inspired projects.
We'll also explore a wide variety of different crafts throughout the year, so there should always be something new to discover.
You don't need previous experience to join us.
Our sessions will include a mixture of simple and more involved projects, and we'll always provide guidance to help you get started.
Depending on the workshop, activities may include:
Painting and decorative crafts
Upcycling and recycled crafts
Botanical and nature-inspired crafts
Paper and mixed-media crafts
Jewellery and beadwork
Textile and fibre crafts
MacramΓ©
Seasonal decorations
Wreath making
Creative gifts
And much more!
We're fortunate to have access to a wide range of craft materials and equipment, which means we're able to explore lots of different creative possibilities.
We also believe that creativity can make a difference beyond the craft table.
From time to time, we'll organise special charity crafting events, with the aim of raising money for causes that matter to us and our community.
Our first planned event will be a special Craft for a Cure evening in September, supporting Blood Cancer UK as part of their September fundraising campaign.
We'll also be supporting PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide through our regular Arts & Crafts programme, with a percentage of our net profits being donated to the charity.
Make something. Share something. Give something back.
We're currently putting the finishing touches to our plans for our first three sessions, which we hope to hold at a local community venue in Lower Earley, Reading.
A special charity Arts & Crafts evening supporting Blood Cancer UK.
Our first regular seasonal crafting evening.
Another opportunity to get creative as we move towards winter.
Full details, including dates, activities and booking information, will be announced shortly.
Our Arts & Crafts evenings are designed for adults aged 18 and over.
Whether you're coming along with a friend, meeting us for the first time, or simply fancy spending an evening doing something creative, you're welcome.
Our aim is to create a friendly, relaxed and inclusive atmosphere where people can enjoy themselves without feeling that they need to be "good" at crafting.
Come along, make something, have a chat and enjoy the evening.
Each workshop will be slightly different, but generally you'll have around two hours of creative time, with time beforehand for us to get everything ready and afterwards to clear away.
Your workshop fee will include the materials and equipment required for the featured craft.
We'll keep our groups relatively small so that everyone has enough room to work comfortably and we can provide plenty of help when needed.
And while the craft is the focus, the company is just as important.
These aren't formal classes. They're opportunities to meet people, enjoy some creative time and perhaps make a few new friends along the way.
We're currently finalising our venue arrangements and preparing our first programme of workshops.
Bookings will open as soon as everything is confirmed.
If you'd like to hear when our first events are announced, keep an eye on Enchanted Moon Circles or get in touch with us.
